NC Trip

This past weekend my mom, the girls and I headed north to visit family! My grandmother turned 90 December 4 so we went up to celebrate her! I cannot say enough how happy I am that Ayda shares her birthday too. My grandmother is such a special lady and I have such precious memories of her. I'm glad my girls have been able to get a taste of her incredible personality and love.

Mom and I had fun road tripping up there friday. A 6.5 hour drive took us 10 but we had fun along the way. After seeing a million signs for South of the Border we HAD to stop! The girls were in need of a break anyway. We died laughing at this hilarious place. What an experience!

We finally arrived at my Aunt and Uncle's house at 7. The big girls were CRAZY, harper was exhausted. We had dinner and got them to bed. Saturday we took advantage of having stores near by and went to Whole Foods, Trader Joes and the mall! Mom and I were a little too excited! It was just so nice to bum around with my Aunt Jenny tho! It was a full day that ended with some yummy Mexican food.

Sunday we hung out at the house. My cousins came over, Daniel and Peter and Peter's wife Brittney. Ayda and Hadley attacked Peter and Daniel and wore them out! They had so much fun rough housing with them and the guys were so sweet playing with them. My Uncle Bob played hide and seek with the girls all weekend and they loved every second of it. Harper enjoyed watching the chaos!! We went to another mall Sunday afternoon and then had a wonderful dinner with everyone. We came home and had birthday cake!

We were all sad to leave Monday morning to head home. The girls would have moved in if I had let them! They truly had a blast! So did I!

4 Months!

Harper is 4 months already. How is that possible? She's getting into such a fun age of interacting with all of us. She thinks Ayda and Hadley are the funniest tho! I love how she gets so excited when they come home from school. I think she gets bored with just me in the mornings. But I LOVE my time with just her.

She is our peanut for sure! She weighed in at 11lbs 9oz at the dr yesterday. That's 5th percentile. I'm sure some of it has to do with our rocky start but I am confident she is getting enough milk from me now. She eats about every 2 hours during the day, but she likes snacking too so sometimes it's every hour. At night she typically eats every 3-4 hours. I wouldn't mind if that spread out some but if she goes right back to sleep I'm good.

She is grabbing for her toys and bringing them to her mouth, rolling from back to front, laughing, cooing, and tracking great! She's a busy girl and her legs don't stop kicking! She was my most active in utero and is still going strong! Maybe she'll be our soccer player!

She is such a joy and her smile lights up a room. She's such a happy baby!
